Originally from the UK, but now based on the beautiful Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, I am a documentary and travel photographer specialising in capturing the stories of the people I meet, and the places I visit, through the photographs I capture. I am also an official Fujifilm Global Brand Ambassador as part of their X-Photographer program. Not bad, considering I never planned on becoming a photographer - it all very much happened by accident.

As a child I dreamed of being an explorer; I just loved going out to see if I could discover something new. Over the years, that drive to explore never left me – wherever I travelled, I was always looking for the new and fascinating, and to learn as much as I could about the places I visited. But what use is knowledge unless it is shared? It’s a cliché, but a picture really is worth a thousand words. I started carrying a camera everywhere I went, and using photography to capture stories, immortalising them in a single image. Soon people started calling me a photographer, and I never looked back.

In recent years my camera has taken me to more than fifty countries as I document the natural, beautifully unscripted moments of everyday life I have observed all over the world.
