I didn’t plan on becoming a photographer, it happened by accident. As a child I dreamed of being an explorer; I just loved going out to see if I could discover something new. Over the years, that drive to explore never left me – wherever I travelled, I was always looking for the new and fascinating, and to learn the stories of the places I visited.
But what use is knowledge unless it is shared? It’s a cliché, but a picture really is worth a thousand words. I started carrying a camera everywhere I went, and using photography to capture stories, immortalising them in a single image. Soon people started calling me a photographer, and I never looked back.
In recent years my camera has taken me to more than fifty countries as I document the natural, beautifully unscripted moments of everyday life I have observed all over the world.
Official FUJIFILM X-Photographer
In 2018 I was delighted to be announced as an official Fujifilm Global Ambassador as part of their X-Photographers program. Having used Fujifilm X-Series camera exclusively for many years, I am already a huge advocate of these wonderful cameras, and as an X-Photographer I am excited to be able to share my passion for the X-Series with other photographers from around the world
